Non-prepacked butter, paddled into shape and wrapped in-shop, e.g.in David Greig.

The amazing Art Deco Rainbow Restaurant on the top but one floor of Derry & Toms in High Street Kensington. The roof garden, a magic place for me as a nipper, is still there but closed now to the general public. Another example of privatised spaces in London non-accessible by the hoi-polloi.

The occasional locust on the foliage of the Derry and Toms roof garden (they were escapees from the Anti-Locust Research Centre on the top floor of a building in Wrights Lane behind Pontins).

They still do that in some rural French markets, which I must admit surprised me when I first noticed it.
