Home draw against Motherwell in the last 16...could have been worse, probably. ?

      Nice kit, Motherwell.

the big KO down here, Saints fans very nervous. Looks like Lavia will go to Liverpool, JWP still will surely end up in the PL, but oddly KWP has few suitors. He is a really good player.
Good luck to the Owls, after tonight.

Nice easy route for the coach driver.

saints were decent value for their win tonight. our better players showed their worth. We really need to keep hold of any of the best few that we can. Not sure what it tells us, that we didn’t already know.
Wednesday recovered well from chasing us around in the first 45 ( or 51), but could do with adding some quality. The sub striker looked handy.

Owls Lesson 1 - I feared a trouncing after Saints early goal - clearly a class gap but early season, we’re still building the squad after playoffs and change of manager, the process is inevitably later than ideal and I’m optimistic we will not be the relegation candidates the pundits are predicting. After falling foul of the EFL and Fair Play Rules in recent seasons we haven’t got the readies that come with Prem failure bunce!
Hope the Saints have a good season and come May if nothing else are 6 places above Leeds!

At least there was one ray of sunshine from yesterdays results - Truro City head Tier 6S in the great English soccer pyramid!

Lost a two goal lead at Easter Road, but Buddies recovered to score late and take a tasty three points on the opening day of the league campaign. ?

Indeed, cloughie...very pleasant surprise. Good comeback from Alison's Foxes from the looks of things today.

Saints have a LOT to do in the second leg after the 3-1 defeat tonight.
