    macos file managers - 2018

Mostly I find that I can cope in macos with the Finder, but sometimes I wish I could do file transfers more simply between folders and devices.

I have been recommended Path Finder - and currently I'm running a trial version of that. https://cocoatech.com/#/
I'm not yet fully convinced. I don't mind paying if I find a tool which works really well.

There are some others mentioned here - http://techapple.net/2016/03/top-3-f...-for-mac-os-x/

Any other recommendations or suggestions, or ones to avoid? Perhaps it will all come down to personal preferences in the end, anyway.

Can’t you copy between folders by using Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v?

A friend I sometimes collaborate with uses Pathfinder
but struggles to find things and often asks me
so I usually find them quickly with Finder

Not sure what the benefits of the other systems are?
Finder is one of the few Mac bits of software that seems to work well

I often use multiple instances simultaneously which seems to be no problem
