That long standing staple of mostly high quality Celtic/Nashville musicianship returns for a new series on Beeb 2 Scotland this Sunday evening. They've upped sticks from Highland Perthshire and settled for Loch Lomond this time round...for episode 1, Aly and Jerry host, among others, Teddy Thompson and Cara Dillon. Expect some scenic outdoor shots that'll have us all longing for the great Scottish countryside.(as if we don't always!)

Thanks for posting, johnc. I shall look forward to that. I've watched these programmes in the past and have always marvelled at the high standard of playing.
I often wonder how much rehearsal is involved. I find it amazing that they just appear to roll up, take out the guitar, fiddle or whatever, and then sit there and play together with hardly a piece of music in sight.
As you say, the Scottish scenery is a bonus but I must admit to preferring Perthshire. I have never found Loch Lomond's banks particularly bonny, though that could be because of the appalling A82 that runs alongside!

I've greatly enjoyed previous series and am delighted it's back. As a good Jacobite though I'm sorry they've left Killiekrankie
