No need to be personal, Calum. And I was only there for the afternoon.

        A few copies of this:

turned up in a variety of Windsor charity shops a few years ago. Prices ranged from £1.99 to £3.99. I bought three sets and passed two of them on to other contributors to the old BBC Radio 3 Forum. Best listened to straight through (after ripping and compiling onto an audio DVD).

A bit closer to home, one of my favourite records of last year was 'Wooden Flute and Whistle' by Calum Stewart and Lauren MacColl - can't find any on Toob, but here's a spotty link.
Calum Stewart, Lauren MacColl · Wooden Flute and Fiddle · Song · 2012

Rather a fine flute player, I think, this Calum Stewart.

A little concerned, and don't know the answer, whether Indian flute music is composed or performed with purely musical factors in mind, or whethrr there is an aim to induce a religious mood, bearing in mind the deep symbolism of the flute in Hinduism. Having said that, don't think I have seen a flute played when the Hari Krishna sect process along Oxford Street!
                    Enjoyed the wooden flute btw.

                    Excuse my wittering on........

I don't think Hariprasad Chaurasia's all-night roof-top performances have any immediate connection with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Note, for instance, the different transliteration ("Hari" ranther than "Hare" as used by the ISKC).

Not sure this is World Flute exactly, but why let that stand in the way...

So to finish here is some genuine WM flute...(shame about the balance)
