Sounds a bit like a rustic Terry Riley that music by the Solomon Islanders.

            Sometimes I wish.........Really? I find that surprising.

Religion? No. The main point for me isn't Christianity though. It is about self-determination.

....So what did you think GT? I thought it was pretty good. Nothing stood out music-wise although the take on Django was interesting and there were one or two other "moments".

Know what Lat, I was thinking exactly the same thing - actually you're maybe fed up me saying this, but what a joy it is to have Andy back.
One of the things about some of the yodelling made me think about the Pygmy tribe last week - it's been a recurring theme of the series, talking to the animals.

The fish for pot bit was great - Andy's general disbelief that the locals didn't touch it, and that the coastal dwellers made the journey up for supplies - in 'Songlines' AK said that after they left the village a kid was sent back down the mountain with them with a sack full of grass who was going to get some fish for the Kwaio - makes me wonder if there's ever a stand-off in the fish/grass exchange.

I went to my friend and fellow blogger, Bell's house to sit down and have dinner with her and her family. We decided to have Lemongrass Fish...

Oh I should think so - it is highly competitive. I like the feel of Namibia. Probably the population density. Patricia was nice. Enjoyed that. Here is the unfeasibly lengthy item on Wikipedia headed "Music of Namibia" -

AK seems v. at home there. Now back to mare's milk - expect you have a soup recipe for that?

Hang on, the Mongolian guys are singing their version of
                              'Donald where's your trewsers'...

It goes into John's tomato cake soup - officially Mongolian Cream of Tomato Cake. You can use tinned milk if you don't have any mare's milk to hand at home.

Lucy seems well relaxed in Mongolia. She sounds like she is in love with the country. Now, here's the stuff - I don't think any country comes anywhere near to Mongolia for throat singing.
