You're way off, Global, way off! That's a regular occurence up here - you don't think that RBS got us in to this mess without throwing a few sweeteners to the otherwise disgruntled populace. The ATMs regularly scatter cash at us - streets are paved with fifty quid notes in these parts. You should have a word with your good lady in Threadneedle Street - I'm sure she could do the same for you. Every little helps!

I was thinking subsequently that it's a good analogy with what's happening in the global markets - lax regulation, people scratching their heads in disbelief, money disappearing into thin air unaccounted for, all the recipients keen to keep their snouts in the trough....
I associate you with higher things...I've been meaning to thank you for this album for a bit That IS what I call sweet music Anyone who listens to this must be ok.
I liked the Dubai rappers the best. Andy was really at his best with them.
Last night's Beeb News carried a rather harrowing piece by John Simpson about the plight of men pressed into work in Dubai, which took Andy's comments quite a bit further - here's the link.
John - Thank you for highlighting this - absolutely dreadful - and Andy definitely struck the right note. It is important that we are given such information by people like Andy and John Simpson. I wouldn't set foot in the place on principle - Lat.
Hi Global. Good to hear from you. I was there ready but I could see that it wasn't going to happen last night. I'm restless and downcast and have a horrible day ahead of me so I found it difficult to focus. But I caught 20 minutes of it and, on what I heard, agree with Martin. It was very good indeed and more varied than expected. Not just one Adjagas after another so I'm definitely going to listen to the whole of it. As for live, it could always be done on Saturday, but if that's difficult, don't worry. Lat
