    piano

I notice there's been quite a bit of piano on R3 lately, but I've still to hear this piece of joyousness.
Fabulous piano duet by Albert Ammons and Pete Johnson with Boogie Woogie Dream from 1944. The girl is a very young Lena Horne!

Perhaps we should tweet-mail-text 'Breakfast' to give the wonderful thing a spin.
And suggest a little Camille Howard chaser, the morning after ?

Alyn Shipton played a great bit of Albert and Pete with Meade Lux Lewis doing Boogie Woogie Prayer Parts 1 and 2 on Jazz Record Requests today - very fine indeed.

          Wrong forum JC, wrong forum.
Think there is a penalty clause in your FoR3 agreement which will now have to be paid - but be assured...
there certainly ain't no sanity clause.

Five Finger Boogie to you, GT. You're confusing Mrs Mills with Winifred Atwell.

Given recent experience, Global, you won't be surprised to hear that only yesterday a conversation took place between my daughter and I, which started with her telling me about some friends just back from the Greek Islands. 'Whereabouts?' asked I. 'Xanti', said she....well I leave it to your imagination but it didn't take long to get from there to Groucho....

Pretty cool confusing Mills and Atwell - now which one was it who did 'Mouldy old Dough'?

Taking the Townes Van Zandt ' War & Peace ' approach to the Mrs Mills hagiography on BBC 4.
Did anyone manage to watch it?

I'm still confused about the Atwells. Did Mabel Lucie sing whilst sister Winnie tinkled the ivories?

Not me - I was watching Andrew Marr's History of the World, but no sign of MAK, AK or Ali Farka so far, Paul.
