Anna,
That terific film of Sister R was filmed by Granada TV on the derelict Chorlton station platform.
Wish they still did things like that ! In a slightly similar vein I once saw the tremendous Five Blind Boys Of Alabama
play Morecambe Station platform. 99.5 percent of the audience were sitting down when the gig started.
None were a few minutes later.
* Chorlton. Home to a surviving record shop, Kingbee ! I sometimes buzz around their door

>>Makes the Beatles Gig on the Roof look a bit thin
And that BBC U2 promotional aid even more pitiful
I saw the chap doing those intros on Chorlton station, Cousin Joe, perform in
New Orleans. It was a really moving experience.

There was another plug for this programme on Woman's Hour today. Here's the link to that piece
The most informative piece I have heard about her on the radio to date, this featured Gill & Gary Atkinson of Document Records who seem worthy of further investigation (by the jazzers too). They are doing some good work..

Yes, that "Didn't it Rain" clip is a particular favourite of mine. Whatever happened to women guitarists? There were several from that era and then there was a big, big, gap. The Yentob documentary on the guitar didn't answer that for me fully.
