Mornin'. Windy and drone. Sounds like my kind of thing.

(Odd sleeping patterns atm. Around teatime to 4am in the morning with a wide awake bit between 11pm and 2am).

Should have guessed it would be on YouTube (settle back with a cup of dodgy soup young Lat, and think of us who have struggled into work through the snow again - may be heading off across the Peaks and Troughs again quite soon, would quite like to get home tonight)
        drone based music

Friday's just aren't the same now Ian Russell doesn't come around to dispense his brand of anarchy, anraky, disparagement and particularly slag off our YouTube heavy usage...

Yeah I was wondering where Ian had got to - do you think he's still turning up for work at radio 3?

Yes, new to me and I like. It would be good in the Peaks, on the hills above Hathersage, by Ladybower. That was where I stayed in the hot summer of 76. Not a drone at all in my book. What do we think? Boards of Canada maybe. Ian's now into jazz.

music: Boards of Canada (from the album The Campfire Headphase, 2005, Japan release, Beat Records), unofficial video made by FroschYankee from BluRay Atmosph...

I'm not sure he asked for a pass from the duty officer! What do the guidelines say?

in the new spirit of harmony we lerv jass and encourage frequent but obviously chaotic and unplanned interaction. And the guidelines must never be documented, in the same way that the revolution must, or must not, ever be televised.

In the strange and occasionally realistic world outside this Forum I have actually been doing some work with a regional jass organisation - although I did spend a lot of time thinking if this was WORLD MUSIC I'd do it for FREE.

Perhaps we could have a sub-forum. Not sure what on earth one is but it seems to be the season.

equals trance like state of zen from my experience in berry picking ( one of the most glorious experiences of my life, in our garden, previously planted by previous land owners...cane after cane of raspberries ) and listening to a mum who counted trees in Oregon for the National Parks and assuming counting sheep is a state of mind whether reclining going to sleep or standing vertical and counting.

My daughter loves to give a can of MUSHY PEAS as a gift to her non United Kingdom friends. They reel in fits of giggles when they read the label.

Ahh yes, I meant to reply to this earlier.
Everyone knows that real mushy peas do not come in a can.
As Mushy Malcolm says, the real ones are made from dried peas and a mysterious white tablet. Which some people claim to be bicarbonate of soda.
Usually around this time JC pops up with a comment about giving peas a chance. I'll just save him the bother shall I?

Now a job counting mushy peas would be something. just off to check for songs on this topic. May be gone for some while...

Everybody's talkin about zenism, soupism, dronism, birdism, Rita Heyworth, gravelation, Ian Russell, jazz migration......all we are saying is give R3 a chance.

She makes CERTAIN they have their fiddles in hand and wooden clogs upon their feet.

In reality they peal or peel in fits of laughter with sprays of spit on occasions and with a quick sprint to the water closet.
