Yes, we will hear tomorrow. I'm off up to bed. Just a damned shame I live in a bungalow. V tired so I won't need to count sheep tonight and I will probably only make it to five llamas.

Try reading the book of Llamentations - that'll help.

I got all the way to the end - as predicted Paul, loved the Meneinas de Sinha (cheque in post), loved the Gogols - very entertaining interview too and absolutely loved the Penguin - I was trying to work out where it came from - top notch. Not so keen on the Salsa Celtica though.

Now that's what my Glaswegian best man said about the spaghetti jar wedding present thirty three and a third years ago! Haven't seen it or him since ( hope he didn't get lost in the fire in that British Leyland car he won on ' Sale Of The Century '

Just to help you out and make sure you're getting your sheep tallying methods right, you might want to tune in to this rather enjoyable 30 minutes - I think I only dropped off a couple of times.
Poet James Crowden experiences the wide range of sheep communication at lambing time.

Of course you can just take the short cut.

Oh yes, John, excellent. I will appreciate these. Ian McMillan of "THE VERB" wrote a play based on Jake. In my humble opinion, "THE VERB" is one of the best programmes on Radio 3. Keep an eye in the coming days on "Arts & Ideas" as there will be some interesting comments on future broadcasts of "THE VERB". I can't guarantee you llamas as Ian obviously likes "THE VERB" to be full of surprises. Él me llamó pero no me dijo nada. That kind of thing. It is all on "THE VERB" though. Mark my words. Lat.

I listened to The Verb Lat, mainly as a result of this post. I'd forgotten it was Ian M, who clearly is ok judged on his musical tastes alone.
Enjoyed some of the program, esp the intro, his approach to dealing with the slightly pretentious story and the haiku-spotting technology...guess I'll have to put my twopennorth in on Arts & Ideas....

Matthias Loibner - Austrian hurdy-gurdy playing at its finest and a fascinating interview.

More later - just a reminder in case so you don't miss it. It's kind of a minority interest I know but if you do love the sound, there is a festival in May:

                      Hurdy Gurdy fest

Some cracking tunes again from LK, from what I vaguely remember when awake. And thanks dear Lopa for reminding me that I have a copy of that
cracking Jivacort Kathumba! In fact I'm going to take off that Beatles album and put JK on the player

My gripes: ...why did she keep finishing his sentences for him?

                            curious
what was really curious was the idea that hurdy-gurdy and a Brazilian theme would be an appealing mix. not entirely convinced...

and (whilst in gripe mode) I like a drone with my hurdy-gurdy (is that the hurdy or the gurdy?) so not all his tracks worked that well. still - overall a 7.

It's the Gurdyfest that's the curiosity.

we'll be there - there's only 1 venue, the Village Hall.

You can make a minor diversion to Arbor Low, altho you've probably done that before?
