    Schooby Dooby Doo!

    Them R3 controllers have decided to give us all a holiday next weekend - no Wo3, no world routes just schooby dooby it would appear instead - they never even asked us if it was OK.

        yep irritating innit

        what started off as a rather special event ... Beethoven ... is now become another bl%%dy propaganda stunt compulsively repeated by those more equal

          But on the upside there are all those Philip Glass programmes as Composer of the Week (of which more later perhaps)

              We have Schubert fountains stocked in the sweetie shelf of the village shop purely for my beloved. We don't approve of the new plastic lid or the fact that you can no longer sook your Schubert through the liquorice...

                  Thanks Calum - I might take in Stephen Duffy on Sunday on Scotty
                  Stephen Duffy presents the Jazz House with the best of jazz on CD and in session.

                  ... and touch base with a spot of Travelling Folk on Saturday, before they change the schedules and get rid of Global Gathering in favour of some chocolate box classical with a guy who does cod Italian.
                  Scottish folk singer Emily Smith is Bruce's guest on Travelling Folk.

                  ...of course I'll be listening to Cerys on 6 having a bluesy morning and I'll take a bit time to follow your suggestions. Schooby de Doo!

                    In the words of EMF maybe ?

                    But I am looking forward to Miles week
                    followed by La Monte decade ........ which should make it possible for the BBC to save huge amounts of money in not having to schedule anything but B & F# for a very very very long time

                    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah what bliss awaits

                        They could get rid of the B's and F# sharps too and just broadcast this as a perfectly valid 24 * 7 tribute to all those concrete sound pioneers of the 50's...

                        Now that would be a guilty pleasure...for a while;

                          And if you want a nearly-BBC quality WM programme to fill in one of the missing hours, don't forget Mark Coles who has started popping up on r4 with an interesting regularity....

                              Sue them under the Trades Descriptions Act! If you can't suck it, it ain't a "Fountain", it's a "Dab"!
