    Good to hear Max back.

A slight overdose of Seeger's but that Tony Allen album needs to be investigated further (best this century? really? oh)\

Here's a Spotify link to that Tunde Jegede album though...

I did love the Tony Allen track, Global, and Tunde Jegede was standout. Excellent to have Max back around though I did enjoy last Wednesday's Luscy episode which was a surprise.

Tuesday - in which Max quite enjoys an irrepressible guest and joins in with JC's & GT's (ably aided by the enigmatic WF) quest for ultimate accordion..

          a most enjoyable show.

Yes indeed it was, and Max is always welcome, enthusiastic guests and all, but the question doing the rounds is where's Fiona...have I missed something, but she ain't been around in yonks.

Well, she was being talked about as possible director of the Molde Jazz Festival, Norway - mid Sept.

What a wonderful gospel cover of 'Times They are A-Changin'' that Max played on Tuesday - by the Brothers and Sisters, a bunch of LA session singers and produced by Lou Adler in the late 60s and apparently 'lost' since then - well now it's found and I for one am mighty glad.

Rather enjoyed the half-hour mashed-up Temporal LJ special that Max served up for just after the bells.

Well for me it was a choice between R. Dawson or S. Lee - both of whom seem to have bewitched, bothered and bewildered MR. Personally I prefer R. Dawson - maybe biased because he's a fellow Sacred Harp fan.

Fine Max show last night and featuring Alisdair Roberts' 'Waxwing' by Olivia Chaney - Radcliffe must have been listening 'cos he played it too, and no complaint from me - she's a great singer. She did a great song 'Ballade' a year or so back.

Brilliant OP, and lovely to hear that the password has been safely decrypted. Wonderful bit of Ken with his sixties realism hat on. What a fine maker of images he was. Look forward to getting the time to watch Bert and Davey in the near future - looks excellent!

Well, not often that happens but Max on Tues was pretty poor - a huge puff piece for Latitude Fest. Yes to Sun-Ra ( The Arkestra is appearing at a festival here in England http://lunarfestival.co.uk/ plus Tinariwen btw) and Yes to DVV (aka Captain Beefheart) but to dedicate the majority of this programme and the next and the next to a single festival seems a little indulgent. I shall instead listen to this https://open.spotify.com/user/clarea...DSuXKJ9m5O11JB, a bit like a Words and Music version of LJ.

Work gets pretty busy towards the end of the school term, but with them on holiday (and us non-teachers not), it's pleasantly quiet and I caught up with the paperwork, and more importantly with a couple of Max LJs. Really enjoyed Tuesday's show last week, in particular the Warsaw Village Band and a bit of Zappa among plenty others. Hopefully a quiet uninterrupted week of paperwork lies ahead with not too many complaints from colleagues.
