Very sad news, Global. The record he made with Hugh Masekela, recently released, has been great to listen to, and now we have lost both those giants of African Music. R.I.P. Tony, and thanks for the continuing beats.

Great wee collection of tunes there to honour the great man, Global. There was a lovely celebration of him at the end of the 'World on One' this lunchtime...a lovely, humble man was the description.
I love that thing they said, that when he left Fela's band, Fela had to get four drummers in to fill the gap he left. He has left an enormous gap with his passing.
