Most of the Late Junction Presenters have their own thread, and in my view Jennifer Lucy Allan is entitled to one.

One of the most perceptive and original musical minds currently operating in R3 - her programmes speak for themselves!

LJ - a Venezuela special. The programme demonstrated the difference between JLA and Dr. Lucy (there would be room for both...), she took a wider view in a 2 hour snapshot of their culture whereas Dr L would have probably homed in on a few current musical groups. Refreshing to hear and think about that culture and ideas divorced of an accompanying economic and political discussion; could be argued that they are inextricably connected but irrespective of that, this was quite possibly r3 at its best addressing the ill-defined WM aspect of its brief.

I agree with Quarky’s opening comment.

Thanks, Global. I'll give that a go. I managed half-an-hour on the radio as the show went out. I still haven't got used to LJ on a Friday...maybe, as you suggest, Sunday might work better for me.

Well sometimes it is worth persevering with LJ. The latest ep. on hand-clapping was pretty good.
