Finally had a listen to last Thursday's LJ (the BBC iPlayer had been playing up so bad I had to make do with HGT's back numbers - it's all fixed now, I'm happy to say).

I liked the singer in the studio session but the guitarist was a bit strange. A 'prepared' guitar, you can't fault him for experimenting but it didn't complement the sweet sound of the woman's voice. Maybe he thought he was dueting with Mariella Frostrup.
