    Alternatives to Late Junction?

    I'm looking for some.

Resonance FM is an obv place to look - but their schedule is impenetrable due to poor programme descriptions. Anyone with knowledge please feel free to advise.
I can confirm that The OST Show is NOT a replacement - it's where J Trunk plays endless library music. Yes, that was one episode of LJ but quite enough thank you.

I've looked at http://redlightradio.net/ (from Amsterdam obv.) but the stream doesn't. Played via another app, but again, no idea what the programmes may be.
futurevintage.net - needs more effort from me (via Google translate)

Tried Mr Sherratt's hangout on 6 Music (Maconie Freak Zone) but the episode I listened to was not music to my ears. Well, it was music, but not LJ...

Repeat 'Composer of the Week' instead of 'Late Junction'.

Doesn't do it for me, nor the presenter. As an alternative to repeating 'Composer of the Week', which I am sure the bosses have considered already , you could visit 90 hours of LJ inspired tunes on spotty...not quite the real thing, and you would have to imagine Max' wry comments, but might keep you going while you try to find an alternative, or R3 does a U-turn.

Resonance FM is being given an extended trial, and I'm liking what I hear. There is also Resonance Extra, which seems to comprise hour long programmes of music of various genres. A Replay option seems similar to iPlayer. It may not hit the intellectual heights of Waxy Maxy or Verity, but much to be preferred over a very ordinary performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto, which I listened to on the way home.

Resonance FM itself includes a fair amount of discussion programmes. Not usually my cup of tea, but it's refreshing to hear real-world voices, not BBC standard voices. But there are interesting music programmes, including a Cafe Oto magazine.

Just a pity it's only available via Internet, unless one happens to be in London.

Thanks Vespare - any particular programme which catches your ear, please be sure to post. I've also looked again at soasradio (home of Dr Lucy) and will revisit, although the clue to their emphasis is, of course, in their name

You'd think with the whole world of internet radio there must be something of a similar ilk....

mixcloud and soundcloud may be most likely places...could take a while.

There are also the 7 stations of FIP, of which FIP autour du Monde is certainly an adequate enhancement to Music Planet.
