Thanks for the link, via which I discovered this classic Bill Murray credit sequence from "St Vincent", a film I had never heard of. (YouTube 'up next' links much improved with cookies turned off).

One of the best and more unlikely duets I've heard, gurney. Thanks.
I love that story about Murray, that he has been known to come up behind a pedestrian in the street, cover their eyes with a “Guess who!”, and when the target turns round and looks Murray follows this with a “Nobody will ever believe you when you tell them!” And then he simply walks away.
Verity's been celebrating Radiophonic Workshop and women this week. Recently she's been the most listenable of the LJ presenters for me. Very enjoyable couple of evenings Tuesday and Wednesday listening in...for a change!

Apart from the fact I don't agree with her definition of a polymath, I'm pretty much in agreement with you JC.
VS has a Scott Walker themed mixtape put together by Jarvis Cocker...wonder if 'My ship is coming in' will be in there.
And some very interesting sounds. I was particularly taken by Early Music sounds, as updated by Ensemble La Tricotea (might take the plunge with a download), and Northumbrian pipes, à la Coltrane.
I'm not a great fan of parody as a rule, but I found The Kipper Family's 'Awayday' on tonight's LJ tres amusant...must add to Christmas playlist, before it's too late.
After a close-ish encounter with Ophelia last night out west, it was most pleasant indeed to return home to an evening in with Verity and Robert Wyatt. Most entertaining!
