At the weekend I heard the song 'Toubou Toubou Za', a Greek nonsense song that was released in the seventies by actor, Kostas Voustas. It was written as a subverted attack on the Greek Junta of the time and apparently became a huge hit in Greece.
Here's the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59VxLVBgfI0
However it clearly had some sort of effect - here's a film with the song encouraging rebellion - thought it was idiosyncratic enough for a Monday in late September.
Music and lyrics by Giannis Markopoulos. From the film "The Rehearsal" ("I Dokimi", 1974) by Jules Dassin.
Lots of bouzoukis, as you might expect.

Wonderful array of percussive sounds as the Silkroad Ensemble accompany Rhiannon Giddens on 'Swannanoa Tunnel / Steel-Driving Man'. Maybe not overly idiosyncratic for a Monday but terrific nonetheless.

Here's the Poet Laureate with his band , LYR and 'Sketch for Christ’s Triumphal Entry into Eldon Street', which I believe is in Barnsley
- made me want to visit Barnsley, I have to say.
I heard it on an excellent BBC Radio 6 Music 'Freakzone special' which featured a couple of hours of excellent spoken word tracks. The programme still has a week or so to run on Sounds - worth checking out:
Listen without limits, with BBC Sounds. Catch the latest music tracks, discover binge-worthy podcasts, or listen to radio shows – all whenever you want
Much of it is idiosyncratic, you will be pleased to hear.

A month or two back, Joe Boyd was on 'Music Planet' with Kathryn Tickell on BBC Radio 3. During the show he started talking about ABBA and how there was an ABBA experience runnig in London, but that Benny Anderson still continued to do what he had done for many years; play Swedish folk songs with his orchestra. He suggested that you can here the influence of folk music on their big hits and played this tune - 'Födelsedagsvals Till Mona' by Benny and his orchestra.

I've been reading Neil Innes' biography and was reminded of this great song/sketch.
