(Wouldn't it be odd if we all got late tickets to Womad - I would have to somehow leap back into my 2009 persona but I sense it is doable and would be well worth it - it's not that we are getting any younger - in the extremely unlikely possibility that it would be a yes, I have my heavies ready to drag the admirable Serial Apologist and the curiously informed man from Stoke on Trent kicking and screaming there in order to insist on maximum fun. Nothing at all unpleasant - I just instinctively know what is best for other people's good. I would also invite Ms Mitchell with me not that I can say or hazard a guess on what she likes musically but she is on holiday throughout July and has suddenly become oddly pricey)

Mr GG and Pianorak - an unexpected pleasure. Thanks for posting.
Lat - reliable and informed choices, not taken for granted.
Guess it's a good time of year for random WM - there's a lot about....
So, as good a time as ever to celebrating the astonishing Sainkho Namtchylak
and, with some other pretty good guitarists of a similar ilk...

WOMAD? I'm in Strasbourg at that time, but, do remember to start a new thread on here. Would be excellent.

I am oddly reliable and informed but often present as the opposite - attention to detail beyond belief and haphazard beyond comprehension. I think these choices are off beat from me. I have seen how many live? Two - Spaccanopoli and Che Sudaka. It is quite possible that Spaccanapoli were the first WM band I ever saw live. Certainly it was very early.

I've long had a soft spot for this
and this was a rather extraordinary adventure (shame it's only a phone video ) featuring Oren Marshall & Julian Siegel amongst others
