Decided to take the chance and hang the washing out this morning. There's bound to be a torrential downpour - there has been this last couple of days. So while I kept a weather eye watch on, I decided to put 'Buena Vista Social Club' on the record player - a record to gladden the soul even all these years on - it's like a great joke that still makes you laugh no matter how many times your hear it, like a great story that you still love to be told, no matter how many times you hear it. Here's one of my favourites, 'El Carretero', for this particular Caribbean Thursday, waiting for rain or dry washing, whichever comes first.
