Clearly Nick has a love affair with Japanese culture. A brilliant programme, and a fresh angle on Improvised music. Particularly enjoyed the Takemitsu item :A Song of love from Uninterrupted rest.

Clearly Nick has a love affair with Japanese culture. A brilliant programme, and a fresh angle on Improvised music. Particularly enjoyed the Takemitsu item :A Song of love from Uninterrupted rest.

He has - it's a theme that runs/ran through his programmes.
R3 brought him back for this, which I suspect was initiated before his contract for LJ was terminated....he is still broadasting but now on Mixcloud - Newratio, on Tokyo FM (radiko.jp but you'll have to set up a vpn as explained at https://scandalmania.tumblr.com/radiko with a show called Demystify and has just brought out a new compilation cassette called FieldWave on the nonclassical label (nonclassical.co.uk)

Great, Global...and zola. Thanks. Really enjoyable show. Loved the guy explaining the Daboomba (?) guitar style - I could hear S.E. in there. Come on Radio 3, get with the beat!
