I would like to be understanding this thread. Unfortunately I can't take anything much in. Something about a PS/GT radio station? I am in agony. I guess it is back to the dentist tomorrow for a probable extraction.

All I can do is keep writing and talking. Worse than usual. Takes my mind off it slightly. Hope to be able to receive something soon. (Funnily enough any bad news is coming through the ears and eyes with clarity).

I agree - this is wonderful; seems to have an overall atmosphere of its very own, might pop the speakers in the garden and see what the neighbours think . If it was a wine I'd call it leathery, velvet with a hint of woodsmoke.

In true r3 style I'll soon find something to whinge and moan about (in a constructive, non-patronising, distractedly inclusive sort of way). It'll probably be that Tony Joe white track being too long or asking cynically if one of the tracks is really called Chasing the Guano...but until them, we're chuffed. Official

Well you're both very kind.
I too would have liked Tony Joe to have cut that song by a minute or two but I do like the swamp feel !
And that is the title of the Cuarteto Caney tune - some cuban musicologist could no doubt explain it !
It's not on the cd I have of theirs.

Now my miss skip rate was nearly always in the 90%'s when going through most BBC music programmes so I'm going to
take that as an enormous compliment GT ! I left the chatty skillets on the list in case anyone was missing the dj chat ...
And Ben Baruch won me over becuase of the lusty period chorus towards the end.

( Btw did you know that BB was also Ambrose's name ???? )

Anyway I'm bookeeping to a grand coffee and a delicious ' in the style of ' item that's just turned up.

Hard not to but I've been delving in the old tape drawer following Paul's earlier post and will post an Andy inspired, largely, playlist in the next couple of days - whew, but it's a lot to keep up with after the last two playlists from you guys. Still there's some belters in there even if you have heard them and I found a couple of CDs on spotty that I looked for before but now seem to have arrived - better hurry in case they change their mind.
