I noticed that BBC Radio 4 is running a series on Bob this week in that space after the one o'clock news entitled 'It Ain't Me You're Looking For: Bob Dylan at 80', starting Monday at 13.45.

Just listened to the first of the Radio 4 programmes 'It Ain't Me You're Looking For', and very enjoyable it was. It hadn't occurred to me that 'Blowin' in the Wind' was based on the old 19th century spiritual, 'No More Auction Block For Me'.

I was looking at that great bit of footage of Bob from '64 from a film that must have been part of something called 'Quest' on Canadian TV. There's a great bit of film of him doing 'The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll'. But I noticed this, from the same programme; a live version of 'Restless Farewell' - just around the time when he decide he was 'not giving a damn'!
Here's a beautiful version of what is in my opinion one of Dylan's most underrated and quotable pieces. This was recorded on February 1, 1964, at CBC TV Stud...
