Many thanks, JC - an extraordinary and timely song:

Dylan’s first new song in eight years is a fascinating portrait of his obsession with JFK’s assassination, rich with pop cultural detail and apocalyptic dread

I'm loving it, JR. Perfect accompaniment to the lockdown. I imagine there's a few Bob Boffins already planning a book based on the images of American culture. And there must be a few folk delighted at getting a mention from the great one.

The often excellent BBC Radio 6 Music late evening presenter, Gideon Coe, is hosting an interesting programme on Thursday evening. He's taking Bob's latest song, 'Murder Most Foul', and theming a programme around the various characters mentioned in the piece...
A themed show inspired by Bob Dylan's new multi referential release Murder Most Foul.

Could this be another new one from Bob?

Bob's at it again, entertaining our lockdown...'False Prophet'

Looks like a new LP on the way - 'Rough and Rowdy Ways' - Bob's having a different lockdown experience, it would seem.

Look forward to it, especially as it looks like it is his own writing and maybe he’ll lay off murdering ‘standards’ for while!

I like this track, cloughie. A lot better than the second of the pieces he released from what will henceforth be known as 'The Lockdown Tapes'.

Bob Dylan & Billy 'The Kid' Emerson ~ False Prophet:

Dylan's latest single, "False Prophet," sits in the same tempo and key as Billy "The Kid" Emerson's 1954 B-side, "If Lovin' Is Believing."

How unlike Bob! Mind you, JR, I think Bob's done Billy a favour getting him a wee bit attention.

BBC 6 music is having a five-hour Dylan special from 9pm this evening - Gideon Coe's having a Dylan themed show tonight for his regular three hours, followed at Midnight with Gid hosting what is termed 'a listening party' as he plays the whole of the new record; and then 6 Music sends us Bob fans off to beddy-byes with Bob at the Free Trade Halls from the archives.

                        Many thanks for that, JC.
Will be listening to & recording the 5-hour Dylan special on BBC 6 music tonight.

Kathryn Williams in Not Dark Yet - beautifully sparse phone version. "I've been down to the bottom of a whirlpool of lies". Haven't we all lately?
