Paul - that fine Latin Playboys tune was making me think of these guys - this song still sounds pretty good all these years on, I think.

Mucking about on the 'tube of you' this evening looking for a track I saw ages ago I came upon this fine 10 minute snippet from the Don Reno and Dan Smiley show - some great playing, a very enthusiastic fiddler and some fine pieces of (largely unintended) humour, mostly from a classy announcer.

Don't know how you do that Inbox stuff but wonderful it is indeed, Paul. I'm off for a journey into England to the smoke tomorrow - my wife's part of an exhibition showing the work of four Scottish painters in a gallery in Mayfair (kinda exciting for her - maybe breakthrough) - wish that Ethiopian crew were on this weekend instead of next.

                        John,
You have to have the recipient in your ' People ' list.
Then simply drag the song over to that name and a send option box will appear.
The trip sounds very exhilirating - which gallery are you all taking over ? !

I don't want to cut across but I would imagine he's on the road now. Thanks Paul for the Merle Haggard. A sad tale but a good song.

And it's a long way from up there ! I had to travel it once when, unplanned, I found myself driving Mary Gauthier to her first uk tour dates.
The Glasgow gig Friday night followed by a Kershaw session in Broadcasting House at 4pm Saturday ... a 3 hour break for a kip in N. Staffs.

' Help Me Make It Through The Night ' with knobs on !

I wanted to get you all to hear Barrence Whitfield singing that Merle Haggard song but it's not on the system. If anything he outshines
the great man himself ( imo ! )

That is quite a journey. A friend at work was a big fan of Mary Gauthier. My knowledge of her is a bit limited. Do you know the folk who do the black cab sessions? Barrence Whitfield - get in!
