Yes, Lat. I was very sad to read the news about this. I saw Guy a couple of times in Perth in the late 80s, early 90s. What a wonderful songwriter. I was trying to recall a song that he performed about his childhood and afterwards I asked him at the bar if the song was true. It was about a train coming through his country area attracting a crowd, and about him putting a coin on the line to flatten it. I picked up 'The Essential Leonard Cohen' while browsing in a charity shop - double CD for less than a quid. So I've been enjoying trip down memory lane with 'Sisters of Mercy' and 'The Partisan' etc and this one, 'The Guests'...sometimes LC's just the right person to be listening to.
...and while I'm on Lenny, there was a nice piece about him by his son, Adam, which comes from a book about people writing about their Dad. It's near the bottom of this article.

'Weaver's Answer' from Family Entertainment came on yesterday...hadn't thought of it as a folk song before but it felt like it yesterday. What a performer Roger Chapman was and what a brilliant band of musicians Family were at that moment in time.
