Sometimes a world music CD slips to the back of the drawer that was once staple listening; or a one-time folk favourite hasn't popped up on shuffle for a while. Last night I was travelling to Montrose and back, about an hour and a half, and dug out an old Charlie Gillett World Music collection for company and dipped into a record I used to play a lot back in the early days of the century. This one popped up, among others, and I thought: 'Fantastic! Haven't heard that one in a while'.
Haven't heard that one in a while!

You're right JC - so much music, so little time.
For me, Mr Piazolla has recently slipped back into focus in the same sort of way, perhaps a tad of mournfulness is excused at this time of year

Wonder where he went!
Think he just got dropped by those fickle thrill-seekers on the UK World Music scene.
My nomination for today:
Chan Chan (no, not that one - one with animal noises and not many instruments at all) by Morena Son.

On another point, when it came to the A-Z, the yodelling went in for you and Global. However, during the contributions to your Spotify list, I researched Kishore Kumar and I have now really taken to him.
