Thomas Bartlett's first solo album

The Tony Allen comments were reminding me of Ginger Baker getting scunnered at his drum arrangements for Cream getting no recognition, and Bruce and Brown getting all the royalties. The stories about Tony 'just doing a job' reminds of what was alleged that after Allen left the band Fela had to get 4 drummers to take his place. The grandson, Made, has been getting a bit of airplay lately...not too shabby, but once again, don't expect the Grandfather!

Yes - I was curious to know your take on this JC; these are my sentiments. As happens, the whole was greater than the parts, but no reason why the individual parts shouldn't all be appreciated. To be honest, I listen to more Tony Allen than Fela Kuti these days.
