I am not sure yet whether I am going to get there but I hope so. The line-up is taking shape.

Very good to see Afrocubism in, a no-brainer really; Gogol Bordello to split the jury; Baaba Maal will be interesting - many didn't like "Television", not least Robin D, but I thought it was ok; Ballake Sissoko - expect the sublime; and very intriguingly Booker T. Jones. Lau are a small plus too.

Well I won't be there 'cos I'll be sunning myself (hopefully) in the Hebrides - but after listening to Cerys' opening track this morning I think I would be tempted to make a bee line for Ebo Taylor if I was there.

I think there are problems vis a vis the visas and the contract rider re the number of buns.
Now somewhere in the loft I DO have that set of sublime frequencies ...

I'm not sure that YouTube clip are the same bunch as on the CD; what I liked about the CD was the impression that the jumbos were making music because they wanted to, as opposed to simply entertaining the tourismos...

Presumably, if the aquarium was big enough and once they had been weighed...

3 of the 4 new announcements sound interesting but I'll give Alabama 3 a miss !

I think the Creole Choir have been there before and were popular but I missed them. Was probably in the arboretum seeing someone very reasonable but hardly ever heard of again - Malick Pathe Sow, Svetlana Spacic, Victor Deme, Lucy Duran.......
