So Roaming will get you nowhere, G.

You would think they would have sent you a couple of tickets since you were such a valued member.

I completely agree, Padraig...and I think they should've chucked in the cost of travel while they were at it!

well, for a change, let's have a promotional piece about Martin Hayes new album The Blue Room, there's a piece from a song called The Boy in the Gap and a bit of jawing.
              Good enough

Or, just a track of music, this one called The Orphan:

They recorded this in Bantry House - we went there a couple of years back and noticed that Iarla and a bunch of musicians were doing a concert there later on that year, after we had gone. I wonder if that led to this album? Anyway Bantry House is a splendid, fading, place, the walls deeply soaked in history. Still lived in by the family who were knocking about when we were there.

A pleasant change, G. Though we're getting well used to Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill by now.
How would you describe this session? Quite an unusual quartet. Violin and viola jamming with bass clarinet continuo and guitar? I'll have to get that CD.

The jawing took place in Bantry House - 'a relic of old decency'. In times gone by I'd guess many another recital took place there. Songs like this one - a song popular with a different stratum of society, which in turn was part of Irish culture.

It would seem the Booley House has a Drawing Room, GT. Really looking forward to the record coming out next week.
