I'm pretty sure that's the supporters' bus doibng a lap of honour of Paisley!
On a completely different topic. I know that we've done this via spootnik. but I see the beeb 4 folks are offering a hi-tech opp to record you're desert Island discs and leave a few words
The best of the BBC, with the latest news and sport headlines, weather, TV & radio highlights and much more from across the whole of BBC Online
and while you're at it you can catch up on old episodes perhaps download someone like this to listen to in the car - the tunes are shortened for thing reasons!
So, at the moment I'm converting some vinyl to mp4/AAC/wav for a friend and have dug out a box of my old singles to convert.
Amongst them (brief aside to mention the classic 'Hard Workin' Man by Captain Beefheart/Ry Cooder/Jack Nitzche which I can't find anywhere else on the net) is an old reggae 45 of 'Red Red Wine' coupled with 'I like your world'. This is on Steady Records and is a promotion copy, not for sale. As was the habit then (and maybe still is) the artist name is heavily scratched out, so that other dj's can't find it and play it.
Arranger is Ken Lazarus.
For many years I've puzzled (not to the exclusion of everything else you understand) as to who the female singer with the wonderful voice is. Today I finally had the idea of typing in the record details including label name and record number, and can share with you that it's Judy Mowatt & the wonderfully named Gaylettes. It's even on YouTube, and mentioned in this archive,
As some of you will know, Judy Mowatt went on to sing with a certain B. Marley as part of the i-threes....:cool2:
So you won't be surprised that she is in at no 4028....
ok, anorak off, back to reality.
(and I know I'll never find find out any more about the single of Amrawa playing Alya Limine that I bought in Casblanca in 1973...unless there's anyone out there..?)

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Reason: Just wanted to clarify from my previous post that there is, in fact, no reality. Just in case anyone was wondering.
Hey Global - hard to let today's events of 100 years ago go by, as Titanic slipped gently towards the briny, without a mention of your old pal Gav! http://vimeo.com/6213506
thanks JC - that's a good vid.
There is also another shortened version
let's call it The Shrinking of the Titanic shall we?
There is also a theory that the whole sinking thing was a conspiracy theory simply to cast aspersions on the Harland & Wolff boatyard, to demonstrate the obstinacy of the captain, and to bring to the attention of the world media an early portent of global warming (no relation incidentally) - why was that iceberg there?. So I also give you
The Raising of the Titanic
Real Name: Richard Gavin BryarsProfile: Gavin Bryars (born 16 January 1943) is an English composer and double bassist. He has been active in, or has produced...
But, without mentioning Lord Lucan, where is it now?
(and most of his work should go in those jazzer's Blues lib.)
shame that GB's latest piece isn't on Spotify - there are one or two people who post on here who would find it interesting...here is a short clip Anáil Dé rehearsal and his journal entry on the topic Anáil Dé words

Reason: added the Anáil Dé reference...
Yeah, it was a difficult call. It was a conflict between certain knowledge, independent of experiment, and empiricism, requiring experimental input. The issue became clear as I discovered that the parallel postulate was not necessarily valid and its applicability was an empirical matter. This effectively separated out the essential Euclidean from the axioms.
The Dora Bryan track was, of course, all about the Kolmogorov–Smirnov nonparametric test for the equality of continuous, one-dimensional probability distributions. After a quick bowl of cornflakes, I modified it to serve as a goodness of fit test.
