Not an overtly political point genuinely but I do like the line "For at last I am free, no more wandering for me" because it is the opposite of the usual concept of freedom being the right to roam.

I like a lot of the tracks on "Our Operating Level". The Arto Tunçboyacıyan selection is very interesting, the Oysterband with the excellent June Tabor, the Zappa track obviously and Asian Dub Foundation to name but a few. Always felt that ADF were underrated. I think I have seen them live three times and on each occasion they had amazing energy.

Glad you both like(d some of) it, feedback always pertinent & interesting.

One of the features of the playlists I like is the way it encourages branching off into previously unknown areas & doing a bit of exploration - some of the tracks on the latest one are examples of that...

this period may be a good time for a new collaborative one...any suggestions?

I liked almost all of it. I'm unlikely to be on the forum now until this evening and it is someone else's turn for choosing. I'm looking forward to it though and have also got a couple of ideas for 2011. Lat.

In a frenzy of green-ness me and JC have begun....popped some C+W in there as PS isn't around to do it for us. JC weakened first and went for the Reverend Al, opening the door for me to include Johnny Green & his orchestra. Lat - plenty left for you to go at...

I'm revAling in it G. Very much enjoying the Bombay Dubs - I notice we were both on the Lime trail at the same time. I'm on shuffle but I keep seeing things I want to shuffle the arm of spotty to. I'm trying to be patient. Great - I wanted to hear the McPeakes and it's just come on - nice one!

It's why I stopped work on it - wanted to listen instead, bizarrely as I write the Bombay Dubs has come on mine too. Technology can be great sometimes. there are a couple I should probably apologise for, but what the heck, it's still the holidays

O crumbs, now I'm a tad worried, best not mention that dreadful Kermit track then. It's what the skip button was invented for.

Don't you find you get thru a tremendous amount of perfectly good shirts tho' Dr. Banner?

I usually just take them off, fold them and put them in a safe place and put on a tatty old pair of pants that I keep handy for such occasions before getting to the clobbering, as a rock like chum of mine might put it. And your right G, I'll bin the frog.

I think that Bein Green song is fantastic. Just a shame about the artist. The Van version would have been very welcome but it isn't on Spotty unfortunately.

                              Ruddy good that red, G!

Since it's that time of the year I've cleaned out another playlist and inspired by a B Connolly interview and some Maxy tunes among others, I've tidied up this one.....oh yeah and the impending end of my calendar.

That's an interesting list. On red, I've taken it up to 151. I'm stepping back from it now to let other people back in. Don't suppose we want mega-long lists but I reckon it could easily go to 200 with scope on the various shades etc. Alternatively, you could take one of mine out or a lot if you like - I am sure that the selections can be improved a bit - and make it 150 like green.
