Nice one Global - Is it to reflect the general range of music we all discuss or intended to be more abstract (within reason)? Lat.

You're quite right, there is a lot of the music we have been discussing in this one, plus some escapees and omissions from our themed lists, and one or two novelty items.

2nd time in the last week or so - first Jackie Leven doing Rilke's 'Faces', and now that Heselev/Vonnegut piece doing my favourite bit of Slaughterhouse5 - thanks for that G.

Globaltruth - I have seen that you have added a few. Bit confused. Is the latest your own or a general one? Know I said that I would go fifth this time but participation could be slow as it is Christmas. If I take part, I will take it a bit steady.

I see that there are now 7 subscribers to the Christmas list and some new names to me there. Good news. Looking at the TV schedules, I will probably have that list on quite a bit during the festive season.

Still my own. I (ahem) forgot a few that I'd parked somewhere else. And, to keep you on your listening toes (?) I've changed it again today...
it will stay like that for a few days now. Here's the link ...

I published that one on sharemyplaylist.com. It has been played 21 times - you can see the stats here

Interesting. Do you think we might get them flooding onto this site if we put a link by your name? Is it worth a try?

Thought I'd dust off this old playlist - funny the stuff you hear over a few days approachin' New Year.

Hi John, Hope you are well - I like almost everything on that playlist and quite a lot of it is new to me. Lat.

Thawin' Lat - but it's got a fair way to go.

I heard JL's version of the Uist Tramping Song and thought I'd give the slightly more trad version a spin. On Cerys I heard Saved by Lavern baker and recalled 'Soul on Fire' which I played to death a few years back - I think it's funny that the band almost stops towards the end - great voice. And I heard the Byrds doing Goin' Back and thought great though it is, Dusty does it best by a mile. I was looking for a different version of Witchcraft and saw Fela's - crackin'. Couldn't find the SE Rogie I wanted - but just about anything by him does for me.

Yo JC, think I prefer this incarnation to the previous one, some crackers and some new stuff for me too. BTW I've also updated my latest one and particularly commend the first and last 17 and 16 seconds.

Nice. By all accounts, he did a lot of work with this guy from the Netherlands:

"When I was a child, on Sunday mornings the family would assemble around the blue-leather-covered gramophone to listen to records. Apart from the Light Progr...

Hmm don't know - might be worth a shot, as I see we've also picked up some additional subscribers to JC's Party one. Unless they are coming from here anyway?

That vid was brilliant Lat - amazing images - a song from another time.

Loved the Lew Stone double Global. Worth the price of admission alone. Really like the Motiviations track too - think I'll have a wee investigation of the 50s rock'n'roll horror while its still in my brain.
