ok, what happened was that you accidentally clicked on the word 'album' at the top which means that the list gets sorted into album order.

To undo the automatic sorting you have to double-click on the word 'album'. This applies to any of those words along the top. it stays like that even if you log off.
A little known 'featurette' of Spotify. Of which there aren't many. well, not that many.

The list now stands at 752. I always thought that everyone would contribute more albums, rather than the slog of individual tracks....looks like we're going to have to do the C+W section ourselves due to PS's continuing absence. Or we could even not have one.

And it's good (sometimes so bad it's good) - how else would I have got to listen to Emile Prud'homme and his amazing Toboggan Parisien?

      >>>We can do this - esp. if we can persuade PS & McG to lend a hand...

Not much free headspace at present, Spot kickers. Not that the capacity is anything in particular at any time !

        941

Imbued by the spirit of PS the list now stands at 941

Might have to delete some though - the odd perfectly loathsome, saccharine waste 0f notes has snuck in....

the odd perfectly loathsome, saccharine waste 0f notes has snuck in.... ....and there's some Merle and Johnny and Dolly - starting to sound like the backstage crew at a Willie Nelson show(oh yeah he's there too).
I cut a piece of intro so that YouTube doesn't recognize and delete the track.

In fact the numbers are going down again - BJ Thomas cannot be allowed!

Down to 916 - removed all the duplicates too.

Thanks GlobalTruth. I thought that you were good at maths. Even so, time is running out so it would be good to have PS on board soon. I have spotted three duplicates which will need to be removed. The only one of us who isn't guilty is McGrooger.

I have actually enjoyed doing them individually. It hasn't been a slog. I've gone on the basis of what I know and what appeared interesting. I have discovered some new things, some quite exciting. I am familiar with bits of the later Sun Ra work but I found that Christmas track very interesting from a historical perspective. I remembered the Waitresses track being good but not that good - a terrific pop song if there can be such a thing. And I love Lindley and Kaiser's "Reindeer Against the Wind". Far better than Adjagas, for example, and it really should have a link here. Lat.

That terrific Waitresses track catches me out every year, Lat. I forget how good it is.

I've gone through the list and removed loads of dupes. It's amazing - I reckon there were about 20 (that's 1 and 0 and 1 and 0). How does that happen? (same way that AHN plays a Buell Kazee track 3 days after I was emailed one I suppose eh PS?)

Now that we're getting close I've gone back and removed some of my worst offenders and an album or two. I've enjoyed it too. I don't think I've ever started listening to Xmas music so early - yes, exciting, v.entertaining, just plain odd

                      PS
Isn't Buell Kazee simply perfect ? No trace of affectation anywhere.
Take a lesson some of you folk, folk.
Buell Kazee explains banjo tuning and playing. From a dvd called "Traditionnal music classics" issued by ShanachieYou can visit my blog dedicated to explore...
