By the way if you want to send Spotify into deep thought then click that little radio button on The Chain 2012 title - Spotify tries to generate a radio station based on the contents. Can confirm, not a replacement for r3. Worth a spin.

And just because, the character in the pic is actually called onomatopoeia - and he's saying 'Snap' y'see...

Does max do the intros laconically? Of course I could be hitting the wrong button....is it the one that looks like a beat-up bullseye?

Hey JC I appreciated that Rose Murphy track, thanks

..and I have this lowest common denominator urge to break out a parallel p.list on the topic of weather. Whether to give in or not is causing me to roar with pain.

Twas me GT - what an unusual voice - but I see all tracks on Spotty as everybody's so no problem. I had been hoping to provide a segue into another track that wasn't on Spotify but rather an mp3. While I can include that on the chain and other lists, and play it, the name of the artist and source is greyed out so I deleted it thinking it must only work on my computer?

Oh so it was Lat -well thanks.
Yes, you are right - it isn't possible to share local mp3's with Spotify. Other solutions do exist for doing that though...

Thank you GT for the clarification. My choice on mp3 would have been a good fit for a long Spotty list but doesn't merit being highlighted on the forum.

the list is losing velocity - it's either one last push (around 1000?) or time for a new one...

I was thinking the similar thingGlobal - last night I started preparing one about the weather (can't think why), but got distracted - mind you LJ with VS from the EF last night wasn't working for me. I'll have a go at making it live tonight.

Globaltruth - It is an interesting and enjoyable list but after the 500 mark I was missing the subject based ones. I was wondering if they only exist during the football season. If so, we have got many treats ahead of us, along with oranges and peanuts.

It has been a busy time, what with my Olympics duty, nights at the Proms and flights backwards and forwards to Ecuador. However, I will try to contribute in the lead up to 1000, even if it means I have to put Christine Lagard and the IMF on hold - Lat.

Great name for a band, or a discount furniture chain.

By the way I feel I should point out that I am in no way connected with Julian Assange nor his sadly deceased doppelgänger John Inman.

Although I did love that 'I'm Free' / 'I'm not free' image that was doing the rounds.

Right then one last push , then a topic based one - fruit & nuts anyone? ( courtesy Lat) and/or The Weather. Busy times...

Blimey, there is a similarity visually. If one of the women involved is anything like Mrs Slocombe, no wonder he is in difficulty.

She was the first punk rocker really, wasn't she - wild dyed hair but fond of pets. And who would have thought that Mr Rumbold would end up being David Willetts.

I am happy to do The Weather. When you think about it, seeing it in capitals like that gives it a similar status to God.

But then Assange is the Anglo-French for 'monkey' so it all fits together, doesn't it?

I liked themed based playlists too.

Global - I have accessed The Weather but not Fruit 'n Nuts. The latter is giving me the first list. Could this be a problem with my Spotify? There seem to be a lot of confusing new features now with numbers, blue dots and e-mails. More to the point, I had to give the first list special authorisation to access it - Lat.

(Oilrig is currently on R3 - very confusing : I thought that climate change had really set in, what with the bright sunshine)
