Abdul abul bul Amir with Ivan Skavinksy Skavar plus Volare would also have been in my edit.

Now, as I know JC is also a bit of a fan, perhaps he can remember what Randy Newman song quotes from Volare?

No idea Global though I'm sure I recall the Gypsy Kings doing a version of 'You got a friend in me' in TS3....and by chance I had predictably just stuck an RN tune on the Chain.

          Those lyrics....

          "Volare, oh oh
          Cantare, oh oh oh oh
          Nel blu dipinto di blu
          Felice di stare Lassu"

Whereas, in 'Kathleen' off the Rider in the Rain album,
          Randy writes:

          ""And he'll say
          "Nel blu dipinto
          Dipinto di blu
          Felice de stare
          Di stare lassu"
          That means you love him
          And he loves you
          "Piu bel ci sono
          Ci sei tu"

          Kathleen Kathleen Kathleen
The best one in the world
          Kathleen Kathleen Kathleen
I've always been crazy about Irish girls""

Thanks G; your erudition knows no bounds - here's someone else who's a bit crazy about Kathleen, even if they're not Irish (well, not 1st generation anyway as far as I can work out).
Behind-the-scenes and exclusive concert footage of Josh Ritter and his band, wonderfully set to his hit song "Kathleen."

About time we had a dedication to Little Junior Parker I thought. Strange how these things happen...

Al Green dedicated ' Take Me To The River ' to Junior Parker " a cousin of mine ... "
I'm at the start of a massive cd sort out - and sticking stand out items on the Iplod.
One of the first albums to come to hand was a Little Junior Parker.
