One of my favourite LP's that 'Sixties Sounds of S E Rogie' A big AK discovery and he was soon brought over ( '89 I think ) to play a session and a few dates. He was also briefly installed in Andy's flat but the stay was brief because SE was seriously anti-nicotine. So much so that he went on before the support act at a Harlesden gig so as to beat the arrival of the smokers ! We were enlisted to drive him back to his new digs at a block of flats near The Oval. He managed to leave some of his kit on the car so we dropped that off at his next gig at a folk club in Stafford. I don't think I've been to a folk club night since ... Sadly my LP cover is nowhere to be seen on the net. Must try and remedy that sometime.

>>just 'bee-ing'
Indeed, this is after all The Quiet Corner where part-time philosophers are found a-musing.
Rockin' Dopsie has just joined in the fun but he is a pretty poor substitute for Cleveland Crochet.
PS
Thanks to your blood-letting I was energised in to re-locating my misfiled Zion Travelers cd.
After several years I can gaze again at one of my favourite covers.
Crochet.
Because you deserve it.

First on is Felix Mendelssohn and his Hawaiian Serenaders and he is a music of the world favourite around these parts ..
A rep was round here today who had holidayed in Cuba but didn't know of Buena Vista or indeed any of the island's musicians.
Funny world of music it is.
Here's Kanui, but oua's Lula ?

Exotic music at the beeb - honestly! Still great to see Biggie and the boys:cool2:; and a rather creepry guy hanging out with Francoise Hardy - she didn't know which way to look; and Focus wishing compliments of the season was stunning. The highlight for me was Juliette Greco - wonderful - and didn't she look just a bit like someone else who's been around this quiet place lately?

Perhaps Global, the budget didn't stretch to a clip from ' IF ' ! But my budget allowed for this back then:
And both that Yma Sumac and Karl Denver used to turn up on the kids radio request programme, Junior Choice or wheatever it was called.
