well this is kind of about protest.
And Southampton (and even portsmouth) are in the world, so I'm offering up this one.
plus its a wonderful record.Actually.
but if its rejected on non WM grounds, thats fair enough.
I'm no moderator, team, but in my experience I'd say just put it in there...it's exactly the thing that should be there - is it in spotty? I mean I put Jeely Piece Song in - true grassroots protest against the Skyscraper...in reality Global just welcomes them in with his regal wave...he's a benevolent boss.

Reason: a fine tune!

Hell yes, the more the merrier; I only ever remove duplicates (so far on this one, it's that fine Country Joe & the Fish song)....and I particularly like the fact that we're now 88 songs in and no-one has posted any Zimmerman.
Forebearance or what?
Our remote poster has raised a question about the Haida Rakoum song - anyone know of an English translation? intriguing.
Ahh, JC, How did I know it would be you that weakened first? Actually Hurricane is the track I'd have chosen.
I'm still quietly proud of my Allan Sherman track though - it's certainly protest innit?

Brilliant, Global...a song of my kidhood...I was also mighty keen on this AS world music dance classic containing what is still one of my all-time favourite lines, 'They'll put castanets on and ruin your Stetson...'
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
I thought Kenny Rogers was a goodie - private protest aimed at the wanton Ruby!
On the Bob front - well I thought you were inviting him; and then I was all upset because I forgot 'Oxford Town', such a gem from Bob's protesting best and I was singing it all afternoon thinking I better get it in there before anyone else...not that it's a competition.
Thanks for the encouragement Global. I've done the deed. And Spotipad tells me I have had around 100 tunes sent to me which didn't appear to me on the not-all-dancing laptop. So thanks y'all and I'll try and catch up ...

Don't get me started on Spotify features which are on some versions on some platforms and not on others....I now only have 1 device where I can even share tracks. I don't get it myself - the idea should be to have a minimum set of THE SAME features across all platforms. Sometimes it's like these techs forgot that people try and use their stuff..
Oh well, as JC says, back to the music, and I'm glad you've made it to the other side.
Just as an aside, and I've plugged it elsewhere, this is a gutsy little speaker for the iPAD though.

Reason: erm, 30W for a portable speaker is quite extraordinary - not just volume, quality too. I'm not on commission btw

Moving on - there is an obvious theme which we've missed. The rain! The floods! And, by the first or second law of Sod as soon as we post a few trax, the rain will stop, the sun will come out and spring will hasten over the hill.

that playlist is now officially finished....
Nah, Global...it's just shifted up here. In wee Eck's independent Scotland the weather will be stopped at Precipitation Control just out of Gretna and turned back from whence it came - right now we have no control over its movements, which COBRA sorts out for us - we'll have oor ain MaCOBRA!
Feel more than free to add - also, to remove if some of these are stinkers...
Thanks G, that's great...unfortunately there's no Alemu Aga for me - they're all that faded way when you know they're there but you're not getting a listen.
