Can I add my spotty account, free, to this ipad without catches ?

Yes, you can log in to your Spotify account from anywhere.
However if you have a premium account you only download playlists to 3 devices at a time.

Also Spotify is quite clever when it comes to detecting if you try to use the account simultaneously (and at the same time) on more than one device.
Even if you go offline if there is any sort of connection (e.g. 3g) it will still find you out....it pauses the most recent one.
And probably sends a notification to GCHQ.
Men in dark suits will be noticed sitting outside your house in cars, making notes.
Not musical notes.
