    Mara Carlyle -Late Junction

There is no doubt we need more musical saw players presenting LJ & MC MC made a promising debut, perhaps a little over heavy on the term 'lo-fi' & some of the late night beats not to my taste, but her enthusiasm, & knowledge undeniably fresh - for example, the research into the Langley Schools Project version of Desperado added considerably.

So currently I'm hoping they might add her to the rota on a more regular basis. Oh & by the way MC don't get led astray by either Mr Luscombe or your producers courting haddock influences - beat your own path.

    A debut I reckon...

I'm all for this guest presenter approach to music show slots. It should happen further and wider in the schedules for a healthier fruit and veg diet for the listener. Last night's LJ for example was worth the entrance fee for Montgomery Express alone, something which I haven't heard on the radio for around eight years. I just wish that Tallisman and the like did not have to be a contractual obligation

Well I agree- nearly. For me there was too much female voice of one type or another in the greater part of the programme. Otherwise excellent variety.

Interesting & doubtless accurate observation that completely passed me by...

Well that was, I felt, a triumphant trio of broadcasts, confirming for me that the more people involved presenting their take on tunes, the merrier the results for the listener.

Blimey I remember AK playing that Lullaby from Jahlé.

Very moving to hear that again...

& the playlist is wrong of course with respect to the Sons of Kemet. But, hey, who's checking obsessively nowadays?

This was the track that Charlie Gillette played to introduce her to Wo3 listeners

Brill Tues LJ from MC - just a quick note to make sure you LA types add it your list.
great segue just after the off.
And Sam Amidon - a new find for me.

Just got round to that today and right you were, Global. I'd already heard the other two shows as they went out and enjoyed them though I often wondered quite what was going on...whatever it was I tended to approve. However, for all the Sam Amidon and the rest it was Patience and Prudence that proved a real top treat.
