So, we can expect at least one new commission this season - on the last night: 'a newly commissioned work by Swedish composer Andrea Torrodi which responds to the pandemic and will include sounds from the lockdown'. Well, that's something, I suppose I was just wondering whether what the article describes as 'fantasy proms' re-broadcast from previous years will have to exclude programmes containing new commissions for reasons deemed to be too complicated for us to understand. Seems a shame
And the tune ends too soon for us all

All looks quite varied and absorbing. But I'm sorry there's just one Mariss Jansons concert.
I was hoping to hear the Pittsburgh Tchaikowsky IV from 2003. Adrenalin, beauty, melancholy, magic. Stunning from first note to last. There were two concerts in 2004, so which one is it? BRSO kept going when the lights went dark in Ein Heldenleben. Or it could be the Tchaikowsky VI from the following evening. Orchestras and the prommers adored this man and it's no wonder. RIP.

No Ida Haendel - poor considering the enormous number of concerts she gave at the Proms.

And not a mention on RR at all. Disgrace?
