BINGO
Even before the complaints about clapping in the "wrong" place
we have the usual misanthropic nonsene about a gig that the folks moaning won't go to, won't listen to and aren't interested in
Would you like my opinion about the offside rule ? while you are at it ?

Having looked at this https://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ecgfbp I'm not much the wiser. Possibly this is actually a visual event with the music providing the soundtrack, in which case the musical relevance/connection isn't, erm, relevant, it's the sound of that music in relation to the pictures. A perfectly valid approach but not perhaps quite what the title conjured up for some of us?
No Ligeti ?

Was there any point in broadcasting this on R3 this morning, other than to fulfill the 'every prom broadcast' claim? Listening to an audience reacting to what you cannot see happening in RAH doesn't to me seem to achieve much in terms of introducing children to 'classical' music. I don't know if it has been recorded for TV but it wasn't being shown live on Cbeebies this morning.

Well, the audience sounded as though they were enjoying it, so that was alright, then Personally I was looking forward to hearing more from the Clangers. Hoped we might hear from The Soup Dragon, the benign provider of green soup who dwells in the soup wells within the Clangers' planet, usually summoned by tapping on the top of what look like a small inactive volcano by Small Clanger who brings a jug to be filled. Green Soup reserves have been exhausted by now …
Liked the Hans Zimmer commissionAnd the tune ends too soon for us all
