I enjoyed the Lili Boulanger work last evening and looking at the catalagues there are very recordings of her music, and what are there are not at budget price!

I missed last night's concert (local residents' association core team meeting); sounds like I need to catch it if it's repeated, or listen again.

I have the Boulanger work on this EMI Classics release (bought for considerably less than is wanted now, I'm sure): 1959 mono.

The choral/vocal works were originally on an Everest LP; the violin pieces were recorded later (1967), and the compilation CD has a production date of 1992.

Quite agree, not much of her music is recorded. I do hope that Chandos will record some more. There’s a fine disc, that I have with Tortelier conducting.

Despite deafness in the left ear and a concoction of antibiotics and 50% alcohol level duty free Raki, I thought the Sirens was the best Ive ever heard it done, ever - recording or live.

Totally agree Jayne, Sirens was the epicentre (is that what I mean? )
