    What was the cat doing? Mine tends to drift into the listening room, sits down between me and the speakers....making a hasty exit when there's a large crescendo, or the level gets past a certain point... (often fascinated by high percussion or electronics though...)

      Quite so, though my experience of the piece was further marred by the idiotic decision to place these damn things up front in the usual soloist fashion. The business end of one of these monsters was thus about 6, maybe 7 feet from my head. I had to press my ears closed for most of the performance, as did some of the others around me. Never before felt physically ill due to a performance.
