And there are other BBC Orchestras to consider. But then, the Proms do HAVE TO BE IN LONDON. (or Hull)

Just managed to book myself a grand tier box seat for this - very excited by that, especially as I haven't been to a Prom for a couple of years, and online this Prom appeared to be sold out. (Apparently a few tickets still available.) And I think I have reached a stage in life where promming no longer appeals, especially with more than two hours' travel either side. But this is a great treat to look forward to!

Book a promming ticket at 9.00 AM and you'd do the whole thing for just over £50. worth every penny I’m sure.
( or save another £16 and kip on your way back north on the 23.30 coach, gets in at 5.20....)

Of course, having made my decision, I shall be kicking myself for the rest of my earthlies if the performance tonight turns out to be the best I've heard of the work!Numquam Satis!

Having had a nose around in the past, there do seem to be quite a few good price advance tickets back to Yorkshire at times which would allow a visit to an evening Prom. I have seen some to York as well as Leeds around the £25 mark, some as low as £16 one way.
A week or more ahead looks to be the best bet to get a good price.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
