Thanks to all for the pointers to the (well-) hidden composer search. The silence on the main BBC arts and entertainment news site is astonishing, though to give it its credit, it's a splendid resource if you want to read about people who've been on Supermarket Sweep, since that's the lead story.

Agreed. They still haven't fixed this. Most people want something at a glance without having all the mouse clickery. In past years someone has posted that very thing in this board, so fingers crossed they will do so again.

What browser are you using on your phone? I often get such warnings using Firefox, though it might be an add-on that is questioning the security of this forum.

It does depend on your browser. My browser didn't say anything about an insecure site, though my mobile doesn't like this site. The local railway comes up as insecure on my laptop, which is probably true with their rip-off prices & prehistoric trains, but not on my mobile.

Safari. I’m not unduly worried as it lets me post! First time it’s popped up though. Seems to be a mild slap on the wrist warning rather than a ‘hey, you’ve just been Putined’:)

I simply do not have the time or inclination to read page after page of waffle.

I replied in like vein when asked to give my feedback. The popup requesting my opinion arrived about 15 seconds after first opening the site - but that was long enough to weary of the waffle.

Many thanks to Andrew Slater for the one-page listing which is all I need to know.

Might take in the Boston and Minnesota orchestras near the end of the season...

The flight of the BBC from "Classical Music" continues at a pace as it rushes to deliver a variety of other agendas.

Significant composers (Martinu, Honegger and Hindemith) of the last century have been largely ignored for multiple seasons and still feature in 0 events yet Bernstein, a minor composer of popular music, gets 9 events? Anniversary or not this has to be a joke! Schubert, Schumann and Haydn total 5 events!

New music compositions are always welcome but the ever increasing number of genres is not, they have multiple outlets on the BBC stations already. Disco punk FFS!

It is disappointing that the selection for televised concerts, live or for later transmission, seem to focus increasingly on the novelty genres.

I sincerely hope that you will be open minded enough to give some of this so-called popular music (Serenade, Age of Anxiety) an unbiased hearing if you are not familiar with it.

Agree totally about the TV transmission choices, however.
