If the NYOGB gets what seems to be its annual date at The Proms this summer, then this looks to be the program, which will be at Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Friday, August 3:

Mussorgsky: Night on the Bare Mountain
    George Benjamin: Dance Figures
Ravel: Piano Concerto For the Left Hand
    Debussy: La Mer
    Ligeti: Lontano

National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain
    Sir George Benjamin, conductor
    Tamara Stefanovich, piano

I would hazard a guess, they'll be playing different works at The Proms.

Glad to hear about an improving weather forecast for next week and the delayed release of the 2018 PROMS brochure will follow on 24 April!

No sign of The Lossless Proms returning yet... is there? What a shame...

As far as I know, the intention is to repeat them this year. There may be force majeure intervening, but that was Radio 3's intention.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Do you know something Amazon don't yet, Stanley?
Still announced as being released on 19 April there.
Guess I'll ring Waterstones before venturing into town next Thursday to check that I won't have a wasted journey.

Opera at this year's BBC Proms

Opera Magazine has already been received by subscribers and carries a feature on opera at this year's BBC Proms.

Further to earlier speculation about the Boston Symphony Orchestra - and details to be announced of the actual date(s) - London is listed as one of the cities to be visited in Andris Nelsons's website:

The prospect of (possibly) both Mahler 3 and DSCH 4 is very enticing - but I'm going to be working in Hong Kong in that first week of September so the Boston SO will remain as the one major US orchestra I've never heard in the flesh.

I received an email from Amazon last week, telling me that the Proms prospectus would be sent out on 24th April.

And I see it is the same user-unfriendly load of rubbish that it was last year (and the year before that).

                              Dear BBC

                              When you write

Ravel’s sensuous mythological ballet Daphnis and Chloe meets the courtly beauty of Fauré’s Pavane in this concert by the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Rising Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi is the soloist in Mozart’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 27.

wastes everyones time wading through your unnecessary flowery prose.

                              Ravel Daphnis and Chloe
                              Faure Pavane
                              Mozart Piano Concerto No 27

is all that we need, thank you very much.

I simply do not have the time or inclination to read page after page of waffle.
