Thanks ER, looks like they are their usual slow selves.

The July issue of BBC Music Magazine has just arrived.
        Its front cover proclaims:

        Welcome to the Proms!
Katie Derham invites you to join her for an unmissable summer of amazing music

We can't say we've not been warned.

I received my Cadogan Hall tickets yesterday. Am still awaiting the Arena Season pass but I was slow posting the photos.

It seems to be a rule that there is always a mix-up somewhere, though the glory days of printing the wrong dates on the Season passes are over.

She'd be very good company (having spent some time therein, in the past) - it's just her music broadcasting persona that's
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I booked on the opening Saturday in May, and I'm still waiting for my tickets. I just looked at the confirmatory e-mail and it says that the tickets will be sent "within 6 weeks of booking". So I suppose I mustn't grumble until the day after tomorrow. I noticed however that my credit card was debited 5 weeks ago.

I have become completely confused again - and it happens every year - about where there is information on Proms broadcasts.

It is just so complicated - how do you find the full list of Proms, the list and times of Proms on the radio and the list and times of Proms on the television in one place?

Go to "Forum" (top left of this very page on the Forum) and click.
Go down the dark red column on the left of the page (the one that says "House Rules" at the top) until you get to the heading "Proms 2018"
Click on "One Page Concert Listing"

... et viola! The concerts listed one-by one, with details of works and performers, and with links to the BBC page giving further details.

Then remember to send a PM* to Andrew Slater thanking him for his efforts in making this terrific resource available to us.

                    * - or, f you prefer, declare your gratitude in a public posting here.

They really don't get it. It the music that's important - not the smiley faces and idle chat that precede it.

BBC Proms Prospectus. I buy this every year. Simples.

I must be being dim here - I have looked at your following link too - but the latter link seems to be purely about TV. The one pager from Andrew for which I am grateful comes up very small on my screen - tiny - and I don't know how to enlarge it. If I have my nose virtually touching the screen, I can read it and its title is "Radio-Lists" but if you take something like Prom 4 and Prom 5 it appears to show a time and date of performance. Does that mean that I can assume where that happens in each case that a Prom will be broadcast on R3 live?

Yes, I'm thinking that might have been a good idea.

                            Probably too late now.

What are you using to view the link, Lats? The link in #295 takes you to the Radio Lists for all the Proms and only the ones marked ""ON TV" (such as Proms 7, & 8) are also being televised (either Live or at a future date/time). The print should be as clear as viewing these Posts (in fact, the size of type is a little bigger than standard Forum posts).

But, yes - all Proms are broadcast Live on R3 (and most are repeated a couple of days later on "Afternoon on 3").

Oh, thank you, ferney - that answers it; especially the last sentence.

The type is larger in the link provided but much smaller on my computer in Andrew's lists.
