God, these intrusions from the various parks are tedious"I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

OMG the sound quality in "concert sound" for the encore of "Land of Hope and Glory" with the entire hall singing and the organ at full tilt was stunning. Occasional gripes here and there this season, though I think fewer than previous years, but overall I have to say my experience of these concerts through the big woofers and also on earphones fully confirms the triumphant return of the BBC's world class expertise in broadcasting classical music to the masses. This year I have felt more than before an experience of really "being there" with the prommers and enjoying the unique atmosphere of that crazy miracle of a building.
